Fees and Policy


Dr. Techentin prefers to work as a fee-for-service provider in order to ensure confidentiality and autonomy of care.  Dr. Techentin accepts most insurance companies.  He dedicates 10% of his time towards pro-bono work. Reduced fee is available for patients who need help but are in hardship. Dr. Techentin works on a sliding scale, he will take under consideration your financial concerns or circumstances and adjust his rate.


The law generally protects the confidentiality of all communication between patients and psychologists. No information is disclosed without prior written consent from the patient. However, there are some exceptions that require the disclosure of confidential information to the appropriate authorities and seek help such as:
• Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse.
• If a patient intends to harm themselves.
• If a patient is threatening serious bodily harm to another person.
Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please give a notice with at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, you will be charged for the full cost of the session.
